Karl Lagerfeld to open London store in March!

I was so excited to wake up to a tweet this morning from Vogue announcing Karl Lagerfeld opening his first flagship UK store during March, in London's very own, fashion loving, Regent Street!

I have always loved Karl's work, not only his designing, but also his photography that I have previously studied. He is such a HUGE inspiration to me by the way his work represents repeated reinvention and through his creative direction success with Chanel, and also for his own label and Fendi! Despite his current success, I believe that opening a UK store will make his label even more established for the public.

The London boutique will be his largest in Europe, stocking both his mens and womanswear collections, within 2,700 sq ft. The interior is expected to be as remarkable as his garments, and his love of technology will be reflected throughout the store. From Karl inspired filtered photo booths in the changing rooms for shoppers use, to a digital guestbook for customers to leave messages for Karl himself.

So... Let the countdown till March begin!

DKNY Pre-Fall 2014

Today, I come across DKNY's Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Personally, I have never really been a huge fan of this brand, however I am loving some of the looks that they have put together for this collection!

I found that it consisted of a lot of mesh material and monochrome colours, with bold squared shapes and lines. These pieces look great to layer up and experiment with and creates a very classy look, which I am currently loving! I have also noticed the use of hoods, which will be perfect for the Pre-Fall season and create a twist on the classy look.

Winter Wishlist

Here are a few pieces I am currently eyeing up for the end of this year. I know some bits are really not practical for the cold weather, such as the Alexander Wang Leather Bralette, but I think it would be great for the party season to pair up with some high waisted leggings or jeans, or even a midi-skirt.

I have been wanting the Zara coat for so long, and I think it will be my ideal winter coat for this year... but for £129, I need to start saving, it is definitely worth it though!

I love the Kenzo tiger jumpers, but I'm not too sure what colour I am after, the two that are shown are my favourites but I am also really loving the green one that is available. The Kenzo jumpers will be perfect for layering up this winter.

The final pieces I am after is the Vivienne Westwood Chancery bag, Marc Jacobs zip earrings, a Cambridge Satchel bag (I am loving the Ox Blood colour), a pair of split knee jeans - which I plan to be DIY-ing myself, a pair of Chunky Boot heels (stylenanda.com) and a Karl Lagerfeld watch.

Lets see how much I actually end up owning! Fingers crossed!!!

Portfolio Time.

Currently, I am building up a portfolio for my University entries. I will be sharing a few of the shots and styles I produce with you guys, let me know what you think!

A massive thanks to the models that I have been using too!

This is one of my first looks for my portfolio. My main influence for this look was the monochrome trend and keeping it classy, yet quite edgy due to the prints.

I am really loving my American Apparel 'Floppy Hat'. It was a great investment using my old staff discount, however, if I was to buy it without the discount, I would have preferred to find a cheaper alternative, like the one from Topshop for £28.00. I find that the hat goes with so much and can really make a look 10x more interesting, I would recommend purchasing it in black as it is so much easier to match with an outfit.

The trousers (Bought from prettysickly's pop-up store) are very bold; therefore, I have ensured that I've stuck with very dark plain colours for the rest of the outfit, to avoid clashing of patterns and colours. I paired the outfit with a pair of sandal heels from Zara, this makes the outfit more formal, you can make this outfit more casual by replacing the heels for a pair of chunky black boots (like Vegabonds) or some cut out boots.

What do you guys think, would you like to see more of my portfolio shots?

Hello Winter!

Here is a sneak peak of some looks that I plan to put together for one of my college projects. I have been really influenced by the current Autumn/Winter trend. I am looking forward to create some of these looks as there is SO much that I can include.

All these looks can be made to dress down or dress up, by accessorising or replacing a pair of heels for a pair of flats, vice-versa.  And if you are not feeling too brave to face the weather, don't forget you can layer up with a thicker coat, add on some super cosy tights or even layer up underneath with a thermal vest.

If you would like any information on where any of these products or similar are from, don't hesitate to contact me!

Much Love!
